Choose an instrument

What makes an instrument advanced as opposed to beginner and intermediate? Probably just the sound.
A profoundly subjective topic rife with hocus pokus and the ear of personal preference. Added to this would be the maker’s mark, origin and signature aspects in the making.

As far as we are concerned there are few details that make it for a Master instrument. One of them would be the consistent perfection of an Amati, a Stradivarius or the likes thereof from any number of masters to follow in their steps. However amongst the masters are a multitude of factories, amateurs and aspiring masters who attribute their cut to one or other.

For this selection of instrument offered in our catalogue there are two main categories. Our Svencino III range or old Master violins that come with some degree of provenance or mark that has stood the test of time.
