The living probability of a Double Bass breaking it neck one in its life is high. Twice, it seems just as high.

This time not only the neck broke but the flanks of the peg box as well! I, of course, received teh project thinking it a usual straight forward job … little did I know that my chisel was going to receive a major ding ion it’s edge because of a hidden screw under a block of wood and sufficient putty!

Only a fledgling seven years into journeying to mastery, this kind of project presented a delightful challenge and resulted in a successful partial neck graft.
