The Svencino range
was created as an alternative to poor quality instruments that unfortunately have become the general norm in South Africa. Of course, not all shop bought instruments are poor quality but the trend is there. The main problem with off-the-shelf instruments is that they are mostly not setup and regulated with decent strings for a sound experience.
There are three main categories: Svencino I, II & III … each level from I to III is priced according to how much it cost, the time is spent on it, what fittings are chosen, the type of strings are chosen and the level of finishing time spent with custom orders.
What makes this range special is the quality that they all start with, how much they can be custom fitted and your freedom to trade them in as you grow out of the smaller scaled instruments, while on your journey to a full size keeper.
Because the range is quite vast you are able to upscale only, as you go along, or you can upscale and upgrade, meaning that when you reach the full size instrument, you have already saved up in the current instrument that was upgraded with each size-up.
Eg. Your quarter size Svencino I became a half size Svencino II which became a three quarter Svencino III. Meaning that when sizing up to your full size you have already paid for most of it in the past three upgrades:) Perhaps you love it so much that your mind’s eye sees a custom fit that you must have fro the long run, now you have less to spend getting it.
There are standard selections to choose from that are slightly variable – what strings and bow you choose. However, because they come to us partly incomplete, needing fittings, setup and regulation you are free to select your own fit if you prefer.
Core Instrument + fittings selection + string choice + bow type + case type are the options that we offer according to your pocket and wish.
