Description
The Pirastro Piranito Cello string set are attractively priced steel strings wound with Chrome steel which are ideal, better quality strings for education establishments or students wanting to get a better sound out of entry level instruments.
They have a bright sound but without the metallic harshness of a cheap string. They respond very quickly when bowed and are easy to play. The Piranito string set is available in 3 sizes: 4/4, 3/4-1/2 and 1/4-1/8 in medium gauge.
Pirastro Piranito Cello string set identification:
- C-string 4/4: Tailpiece end is Blue-Grey and the peg end is violet
- G-string 4/4: Tailpiece end is Blue-Grey and the peg end is Brown
- D-string 4/4: Tailpiece end is Blue-Grey and the peg end is Red
- A-string 4/4: Tailpiece end is Blue-Grey and the peg end is Black
- 3/4-1/2 size strings have the same base color but have a yellow band
- 1/4-1/8 size strings have the same base color but have a blue band

Amber Cello A (Metal Core)
Because any cello synthetic core A string is quite fragile both in handling and durability we also offer a metal version of the Amber A string. It is the first time that our newest invention, the helix solution, has been applied on a cello string. This improvement was originally invented by Bohdan Warchal in 2013 to solve the sound difference of metal E strings and whistling problems on violins. After its tremendous success we applied our invention on metal viola strings too. Now cello players can benefit from a metal A string with increased elasticity which offers the most wonderful sound.
