Description
Anton Hornsteiner violin made in Mittenwald 1802. Still has an original bridge fitted by W E Hill & Sons. Plays easily with a warm tone after refinishing in our Svend’s Violin workshop. Comes with paperwork from previous purchases and work done in England.
The table is of medium to wide grained spruce with a lightly flamed back, sides and scroll. The varnish is well preserved with a fine sense of depth. Slight wear with no major damage anywhere. An all round well made violin with a bit of history to go with it.
